Almost One Month Later

Ben and I have spent the last month practically attached at the hip, with the exception of work. I know he only has another month before he has to leave for New York. Yes, I’m a masochist for agreeing to stay every night with him. He went so far as to set up an office space for me at his apartment with a brand new computer. I’ve never turned it on.

Most days, I’m back at my apartment or finding places around the city to write. I need color and life to work. His place is stale and feels more like a hotel than a home. It’s not conducive to my writing. Having dinner together every night, date nights several times a week, and falling asleep in his arms, keep me here. True to his word, he made me come in the suite at the soccer game and hasn’t touched me since.

It’s been twenty-seven days.

The longest twenty-seven days of my life.

Morning routines usually consist of him waking up first because I’m up until 2am writing. He tries to stay up with me but fails every time. He leaves for work early and every morning I wake up to a fresh pot of coffee he set and a note.
